Church Trunk-or-Treat

Yeah! This year we finally got to do trunk-or-treat outside cause it wasn't raining, but beforehand we had games to play and dinner to eat! Here are 2 of my fave costumes of the night- my lil' bat and Miss Pippy Longstockings!
Also a handsome Vampire and check out those freckles Pippy is sporting!
One of the fave games was eating the donut with no hands! Love this picture!
Who is that? I couldn't resist and had to snap a shot!!!
With this one too! This would be our Young Men's President!
WE ate a yummy dinner of chili and corn bread! I never knew I could really like chili, and the white chili was to die for!

Playgroup Halloween Partay!

Lil'G as Eeyore (which was so cute because he could say it!) and his friend Ollie as Scooby Doo!
Most of the playgroup bunch at church getting ready to party!! We had games, crafts, lunch, and a little trick-or-treating to keep all our monsters happy!
Lil'G found someones scary mask and decided to try it on for himself! Scary!
Thanks to Lora for a fun partay for the kiddies!

Dinosaur State Park

We had a great day with Grandma Carla (which don't ask me why, but we never got a picture of her!) at the Dinosaur Museum that we had never been too! It's in this huge dome. And there are trails to take outside as well, which we will have to try and do another day since it started to rain!
They found all these dinosaur tracks years ago and preserved them for the museum. They were amazing to look at. I know the picture did not come out well.
All around the fossils tracks were dinosaurs. You got to push buttons and the room came alive with dinosaur sounds and even a thunderstorm! Lil'G was scared of the sounds, but also was very interested in it all, so we went back to push the buttons a 2nd time.
They had a room for hands-on learning and had this great costume that Miss P tried out for us! We even made bookmarks with dino tracks on it!
Afterwords, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch and game fun, then to Micheal's for a model car! Thanks for visiting with us Grandma Carla! We really enjoyed our time with you as always!

Halloween Window Painting

Our town has a Halloween window painting contest with school aged kids up to 8th grade. Miss P's friend, Beth asked her to join in the painting fun! I thought they did a pretty good job!
Miss P kept it a secret of what was painted till we could go check it out! Great job Miss P and Beth!!!
It's fun to drive down Main Street and check out all the windows with Halloween festivities!

More Museum Fun!

Loved the huge planes and ready the history of them. Miss P loved to find out there was a plane with her same name too!!
Loved that my tykes all seemed to really enjoy it and learn a little history along the way.
Lil'G gitten' jiggy with it! He was doing these cute little dance moves while waling along.
My mom and me! I loves you mom! So glad you could come out and spend a week with us! There is never enough time to do all that we would like to do either. I am so glad the tykes had this time with you as well. I always loved growing up with family around, so we will take any chance we can to see you! Thanks for being my mom!

New England Air Museum

We enjoyed a day off from school to check out the plane museum with Grandma Terry while she was visiting. This was the entrance.
We all loved this army jeep!
Lil'G in the cockpit of an army helicopter. He was in heaven. He hearts planes!
This turned out to be a great shot also in the helicopter! We totally scored as we were getting ready to leave, an employee asked if the kids wanted to get inside the helicopter, sure enough smiles were spread across all 3 of their faces.
The tykes with Grandma Terry. The employee also let H try out an ejection seat and showed us one of the huge parachutes. He told us that during World War 1, that when some of the Americans landed in peoples yards in France, the family would let them stay with them until it was safe to go under one condition, they had to give them their parachute. Why you may ask? Because the young women used them to make their wedding dresses out of. They almost looked and felt like silk, but it was really nylon. I found it very interesting.
Thanks for a great day out- kiddos and Grandma Terry!

Miss P's Special Day!

This beautiful young lady was baptized today! Here she is already to go to church in her new dress and scripture case!
Can't believe this day has come! I know have 2 children baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I couldn't be more proud!
Daddy got to do the honors of baptizing Miss P and giving her the Holy Ghost.
We were so blessed to have both Grandpa John(Brandon's dad) and Grandma Terry(my mom) to be here for her special day!!!
Along with some great friends too! Thanks for coming and supporting Miss P- The Koch Family, Christensen Family, and The Sweeney Family. We feel very blessed.
Miss P shared her special day with another boy in her Primary Class, Andrew, bummer I didn't get a picture of the 2 (I think Garrett owes me one!)
I can not tell you Miss P how full my heart is. I am glad to have the privilege to be your mom and the decisions you are making in your young life! Always keep your chin up and that beautiful smile! Remember to always choose the right and that your Heavenly Father will always be their for you! I love you my Snuggle Bunny!

4th Grade Dissecting

This boy got to have his hand at dissection today!! I don't ever remember getting to dissect anything throughout my school years, or I just missed those days!
What you are looking at is remains from an owl pellet! Gross and weird, since I never knew that whatever wasn't digested in an owl came back up in a hairy pellet! These are pieces of who knows what- a mouse, little bird maybe. H found a skull, backbone and other interesting parts! He really enjoyed it,
Thanks H for teaching me sooo much more!

Miss P's 8th Birthday!

This girl sure makes me giggle! I am so glad you are a part of our family! I need a little pink around here and that is YOU!!! So happy you had a great birthday too! You told us it was your best birthday yet! NO cake for Miss P this year. She requested donuts! So lil'G and I ran to Dunkin Donuts after getting the tykes to school so we would have some good donut pickings. I was quite pleased with all the fun fall flavors and colors!
This was quite a surprise for Miss P, dad gave her his little shuffle (sorry the pic didn't come out well). He downloaded all her faves onto it and she hasn't stopped listening since!! She might even be a rockstar!!! She even asked if she could listen to them while eating breakfast the next morning!
Fun beauty products sent from some of your cousins in Utah! Thanks Austin, Brooke, and Paige! This girl is gonna smell delightful!
You told us it was your best birthday yet! This was the doll you really wanted- A Lalaloopsy doll! After much searching we found the right one!
Hey Girl- here's to a many many more years! We love you and couldn't ask for a better daughter!!! Keep it up!

Pumpkin Patch for Columbus Day!

We haven't been to Brown's Harvest for years, but we did a return this year and brought our friends Clara and Olivia along!
Check out this fun game of checkers with the mini pumpkins! I so adored it! Thanks to this mother-n-son for letting me take their picture of the game!
This would be the entrance to the little corn maze! Yes, lil'G decided to cruise on through it by himself! So H and I run after him, but to no avail, can't find him. We head out of the maze and their that little stinker is!!!
Sitting with the Square Pumpkin, so glad we had nice weather while the tykes were out of school.
On the hayride heading to the patch!!
Thanks Amy, Clara, and Olivia for coming along! We had a great time!! And I for some reason didn't even get a picture of all the orange things we picked out or the yummy cider donuts they make there!

PS- met a "Blog Lurker" while at the patch! Too funny! Hello BJ!! I think u should start a blog now!!! We both have a mutual friend and BJ recognised me from my blog!!! I have heard stories of this happening to other people, but I never thought me!! Fun to meet new people for sure, it is a small world!
