Celebration of Learning

Miss P's school hold their annual "Celebration of Learning," where family and friends come to see what the kids have been learning and their artwork. All the 4th graders are assigned a state to work on for the year. They do a lot of research and projects all year long too. Miss P had Ohio! Here she is with a bunch of her projects. Plus they were asked to bring some of the state food for people to try, guess who;s state did NOT have a state food, Miss P! So we got to bring the state drink instead- Tomato Juice! Yuck! The 4th graders also had a recorder concert since that is the year they learn to play them! They all did a fab job too!! Miss P with her self portrait and her mask of a mouse. It is always something I look forward to! Love seeing what the kids are learning and doing! Go Miss P!

PEZ Factory

Guess what opened lat December here in Connecticut- the PEZ Factory! The kids and I are kindof PEZ collectors too! Plus Grandma Carla was out for a quick visit, so what better place to visit! Remember these books when you werew young? I do cause I loved them! Miss Bossy and Mr Happy! This motorcycle hangs in the foyer when you walk in. The OC Motorcycles made this just for PEZ! This huge wall of PEZ machines is also in the foyer when you walk in! You could look at that thing all day long! We had a great time and left with some new PEZ machines and 3 buckets full of different flavored PEZ!

Miss P's Achievement Night Talent Show!

Miss P gets to attend out churches achievement nights twice a month for the girls that are 8-12. They learn and do things each time. This was their talent show evening, so all the families came to watch. Miss P decided to play a few tunes on her recorder since that is what they learn to play in the 4th grade at her school.

One of the songs she played, you sing in it too! So proud of my girl for even singing the part too! She didn't seem nervous at all and just did wonderful!

Mother's Day 2012

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day!! All I really wanted was a cake and some new hot pads! Love that they were both delivered! H picked the cake out, made, and decorated it all himself! The cake was lemon flavored with cherry flavored icing! It was soo yummy! Notice the cute outdoor scene that was made with the chocolates, owls, and mushroom! I just adore! Also had dinner made and cleaned-up for me too! Thanks to my wonderful tykes- H, Miss P, and Lil'G and Brandon for such a great day and for making me feel uber special! You are all loved so much! Glad you are all part of my life!

Maritime Aquarium

Lil'G, Dad, and I headed on a little field trip on our own, cause H and Miss P had their Big field trips of the year that day. We went to the Maritiime Aquarium, it's one we had never been too! This is Dad and Lil'G laying under the "touch tank!" It had 2 sharks and 4 sting rays!

Loved the Jellyfish! Li'G was really looking forward to seeing the Jellyfish too!

We even got to watch them feed the seals and brush their teeth!

Here is one of the sting rays that I touched a few times! Yes, I was quite excited for myself!

Here is the shark that Lil'G touched! He was scared at first and wouldn't do it, but right before we were leaving he insisted that he touch it! Yeah Lil'G!!!

We sure had a great day out!! As did Miss P who went to NYC to the Museum of Natural History and H went to Old Sturbridge Village in MA. Hoping to post pics from their field trips too!

Kent Falls, CT

This place is breath-taking! It is one of our favorite place to visit. Kent Falls, CT! The drive is beautiful too!
