Now @ 5 months!

Baby G is 5 months old now!! He is getting to be so much fun! The tykes get so excited to see him and vice versa!
Like Miss P says, I am so glad Baby G is in our family because I always wanted another brother to play with!
We are loving you Baby G! Thanks for all the smiles you bring to our home!

My Pink Christmas 2008!

Pink Christmas is such fun way to get to know other bloggers, share in our talents, and help those in need. This year the Pink Christmas Gals were able to help out 3 different families with different needs. What a great feeling it is to help others, especially during this Christmas season. Also fun getting to know someone else that you get to give a present too! Thanks Kristi for organizing all of this! It is quite the task. I was the lucky one who received this beautiful lap quilt from Debbie S. It has pine cones on it and I heart pine cones!
In her card she asked if I could use a lap quilt and the answer is YES! We love to curl up under a blanket to watch tv, read books, or take a nap.
Thanks so much Debbie! We are already enjoying its warmth! Happy Pink Christmas Gals!

Bedtime Stories

We went to see this show on Christmas, and I must say it is a must see!! I was just cracking up! Bugsy was the tykes fave. It was a cute story too! Love Adam Sandler in it and yes he does have bad hair in it, just like they point out!

*Did you see and what did you think?*

Where's the Baby?

I am so lucky to have 2 helpers with the baby. Big H has gotten used to the baby and feels more comfortable at holding him and picking him up. So, it's nice to be able to have the tykes help watch the babe while a do a few things around the house. Well, this is how I found Baby G the other day!
How creative our my tykes! Big H told me he put the balls in to help support his arms.
Baby G was so happy when I found him. He loves to put anything in his mouth, Miss P's stuffed hamster has been a hit lately too!
I love you tykes all for being a part of my life and for all your help and love you have to give!

Christmas Morn!

Early Christmas morning, bedhead and all, they tykes were so excited to see what Santa brought! H with his new Webkinz, Miss P with her new snowman and panda (just what she asked for)!
Big H scored an i-pod! WOW!!! Now dad can have his own back!
Miss P so surprised to see a Nintendo DS under the tree! Wait, it wasn't even on her wish list!
Baby G with his new toy! Just needs a little more practice on pushing the button down.
Even Santa left Mudslide a treat or 2!
We feel extremely blessed and had a great Christmas. We hope the same for you all!
Thanks Santa and Happy Birthday Jesus, the reason for the season!

On Christmas Eve

Here is our tree late Christmas Eve Night, soon after the Big Man had left. I heart Christmas lights at night!
Our family Christmas Eve included some sugar cookie making, gotta leave Santa some sort of treat!
The happy bakers' and designers! They really did a great job.
We then did our tradition of driving around looking at Christmas lights (I have done this my whole life!), then came home to read Baby G's new book - The Gingerbread Baby (thanks cousins!) read by Miss P, then the readings of Twas the Night Before Christmas and Jesus birth as told in the bible by me.
We were excited to also have some evening visitors of carolers! It put a smile on all our faces! Thanks Nasson family and the missionaries from our church! The cranberry bread they brought is being gobbled right up! Yum!

So What Kind of Wrapping are You?

You Are Merry and Spontaneous

You approach the holidays with joy and playfulness.

You refuse to let the holidays be stressful. They should only be about fun.

The holidays truly make you feel like a kid again.

And you believe it's your job to make everyone else feel like a kid too!

Of all the types, you're the most likely to give someone a gift early... because you can't wait.

You're also the most likely to wrap your presents quickly - or not at all.

Sparkling!

So for the past day and a half, the tykes have been out of school due to freezing rain. Well, we didn't get to see it like this by us, thank goodness. But while running errands today, we had to stop and take some beautiful pictures of the ice on all the trees!
I am sure these pix don't do it justice, but they were sparkling in the sun light!
The town workers were out cutting down all the trees that had hit power lines and hung in the road. Right behind then would be town folk with their chainsaws to chop down the trees to smaller logs to load up and take home for firewood! I would have never thought of that!
As dangerous as ice storms can be, some of the aftermath is just breathtaking!

I Will Admit...

I just,
Can't seem,
To get,
Enough of this BOY!
Baby G got these super cute monkey onesies with matching socks that I just adore! (thanks April) I had to get a few photos of my little man in them! Love how I pulled the socks all the way up? They actually stay on him quite well.
I just want him to stay this little so I always have someone to cuddle! My loves to you, Baby G!

Do You Have One of These at Your Home?

Who Can I Call? That is right, Miss P is figuring out and taking an interest in the phone. She has finally had a few playdates with girls (usually they seem to be with boys) and wants to call and chat with her new friends and anyone else I will let her call.
She is such a girl! And takes after her mom, who also likes to talk on the phone! Funny story, Miss P wanted to call her dad, I told her he was probably on his way home from work so we called his cell. I told her the wrong number, but didn't realize it until a few minutes later when I asked who she was chatting with. It ended up being some grandma who thought Miss P was one of their grandchildren, and well Miss P still thought she was chatting with her dad!
Thank goodness we got a nice person to chat with her! Miss P, I am so excited to watch you grow and all the fun things we get to do together! Can't wait to take you for a pedicure soon!

A Little Help From My Blogger Friends--

So, I am in need of some new facial lotion, since it is getting dry out here during the winter. That is where you all come in. What do you use and like?
I was in a real need of something so I did get an Oil of Olay lotion. Tried it for the first time today, so far so good!
Let me know your goods!
Thanks in advance!

Where's Miss P??? Can you find her?
I appreciate you all for helping get the big job done of raking the leaves up! Our yard will thank you for it come spring time!

Gingerbread Houses

We had the sister missionaries (from our church) over for dinner and some gingerbread (graham cracker) house making! We all had a great time!
Miss P with house and yes that is H in the background, for some reason I never got a photo of his!
Baby G was a little sad from having had shots at the dr's the day before. We hate it when he feels sad and not well!
Now I have some fun centerpieces on my dining rook table made by my tykes, now let's just hope they last and aren't eaten!

4 Months Young

Baby G is the Big 4 months now. We are so loving his little personality! He is at the stage where noises startle him and make him cry, so we have to watch it at times. I love to watch him watch me walk across the room- that boy knows his momma! We love his giggle and infectious smile. I am so grateful for brother/sister for all they do in helping me out with the baby.
Baby G acted liked he was interested in food, so I have tried out some rice cereal on him, this would be his 1st experience with it and he did well.
Come to find out we're suppose to wait until he's 6 months, but no harm done. He still has it here and there and seems to enjoy it.
Here are a few stats from his appointment with the ped- weight- 12lbs 11.8oz and height- 23 3/4 inches. He is my growing happy boy that we love!
Also, the dr asked if Baby G had been rolling over yet, we said not quite, sure enough, while we were chatting, the dr laid him on his tummy and he rolled over within the minute!!!! Great performance! She got to put a Big check mark next to rolling over!

So I Forgot!

Miss P has been sooo excited that she finally had a loose tooth, guess when it came out, by way of her brother helping to pull it out for her, (Miss P pulled one of H's out just a few months ago, how cool is that! Siblings helping each other out!) on Thanksgiving!!! But, guess what we found out? The Tooth Fairy doesn't work on HOLIDAYS!!!!
Thank Goodness she visited Miss P the next night, which also gave us time to get her her very own tooth fairy pillow!!!

A Family That Hikes Together, Stays Together!

Our family really enjoys hiking as a hobby. We went to Indian Caves. Not that their are real caves there, but for some reason, it's the name. It's mostly a bunch of big rocks all together.
H posed by himself for this picture! Loving that they like to get their photos taken!
MIss P being the Diva that she is!!!
This is how daddy hikes in style! One tyke on the front and one of the back! You Go Brandon!
We even found another stacked statue of rocks. We love those things!

*So what's a favorite hobby of your family?*

Our Turkey Day!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with some great friends- our "Hosts with the Most" were Amy and Steven and their kiddos! We had such a fun time with yummy food to boot! Thank you for opening your house to us and sharing this great day with us too! We truly have so much to be thankful for this year! My most thanks would be to my own little family, to my friends here on the east, all my family and friends in the west! Also my God above for blessing me with so much!
Someone decided to have their own Thanksgiving on our porch!
I did find the culprit too! He had gotten so much that his little face was covered in orange!
Had to get a picture of Baby G's 1st Thanksgiving! My friend, Emily (thanks!) is letting me borrow her floor gym for the baby and he is loving it! It has a mirror on it so he likes to talk to himself and laugh!
Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Holiday too!

BOLT!

H and I had a little afternoon date when he got out of school today, since dad wanted to stay home and relax with the babe and Miss P wanted to soak in the bath. WE enjoyed ourselves with a movie and popcorn and saw Bolt! I thought it was a cute movie, I do enjoy most kid flicks. Fun to hear the voices of Miley Cirus and John Travolta. The hamster was too funny as well! Guess it made me miss this...
my own dog- Mudslide! Gotta love dogs!
Thanks H for a fun afternoon out, just the 2 of us! I love you!

Sunday Post

Our sacrament meeting was on Gratitude. We again had some great speakers. One of the speakers happens to be a dentist and he brought up that after having a good patient, he lets them choose out a little prize. He told of how many times he hears the parents say, what do we say??? Meaning for the child young or in their teenage years to say Thanks. Isn't it true how much we say that ourselves to our own children and also heard when we were young. Just the basic please and thank you's to show our gratitude for things in life and sometimes it gets missed. IT was a great reminder.
Well, I know you have all been waiting to hear what my new calling is.... so wait for it....
It has to do with a hymn book and my arm????
Yes, that is right, I am the Relief Society chorister. I will also be sharing a music appreciation message once a month. Now I have to get crack-a-lack-in and learn how to lead music! Guess they didn't know I don't know how to do that, just yet!!!
So wish me luck!!!

Guess Who's into Fingers and Drool?

This little man! He Loves to put any and all that will fit into his mouth and suck away! I keep socks on his hands at night cause when he sucks its a little on the noisey side. But maybe he will turn into a finger or thumb sucker. I used to be a finger sucker myself when I was a wee lad!
Just had to get a pix of these 2 together! They are too cute and look ready for St. Patrick's Day a little early!
