Daddy-Daughter Date!

Miss P and her dad got invited to a daddy-daughter date from some friends at church for Girl Scouts. They were both so excited to go!
We painted Miss P nails and she got to pick her dad's tie. They went to dinner at Chili's then off to the dance- with face painting, pictures, and loads of dancing! Brandon said it was a sea of pink dresses everywhere! Guess Miss P couldn't get enough of all the fun dancing!
Hope this can become a new yearly tradition for the 2! You both look great!

Here Comes The Sun!

Thank goodness we got so see some sunshine and warm weather today!!! Our friends invited us to the park and guess who is getting the hand of it on 2 wheels???
Miss P is so excited! She and her dad have been working hard at teaching her to ride her bike, today was the first day with dad letting go! You go girl!
Baby G had his first all-by-myself swing ride and loved it!
We had to take lots of pics of this! Don't you just love firsts of this and that!
Thanks friends for the fun park day and to many more!

Early Gift

I scored my husband an early Easter gift- the new and amazingly small i-pod shuffle!
Isn't it soo adorable! I love to watch Brandon hold it in his hand, likes it's a teeny baby!
His old shufffle got lost and it was great for when he was on his road bike, so when I saw this new one, I just knew it would get a lot of use during his training and races! Brandon- I loave you and you so deserve a prize for all that you do for us!!
One of the best things was that it shipped here in 2 days from when I ordered it! Go Apple!

Sunday Post

Alrighty- I know you have all been waiting to hear of my new calling!
It was great to hear some of your guesses and I loved that you did that too!
I have been called to teach YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL- ages 12-14! It will be co-teaching, so every other week, that will be nice to have more time to study each lesson.
I am really excited to be working with the teenagers, since I have always worked with the kids.
My first Sunday teaching with be Easter Sunday- what a great day to start!
So- wish me luck!
PS I think some of you guessed right too! Go YOU!!!

*Do you teach youth? Do you like? Do you like the calling you have?*

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here is Big H before heading to school. A little Leprechan visited our home during the night and left us a box of Lucky Charms to be eaten!
Miss P all dolled up for Green Day! I had just gotten her some new dresses and she decided to wear this one, now this is a girl who NEVER wears a dress to school. I was in shock! She looks adorable though!
Baby G on his 1st St. Patty's Day! The tykes were all over pinching him this morning while still in his jammies since they weren't green!
Hope you all had a great fun day and had some corn beef with cabbage! Yum!

Sunday Post

I was given a new calling today and I must say I a quite excited about it! It is something I haven't done before and I am excited for the challenge and the gospel things I will get to learn more of.
The only thing is, it hasn't been announced at church, so can you all wait with me one more week, then I will be able to break the news of my new calling?!
Yes, the music director for Relief Society did not work out too well. I was not good at it and Baby G seemed to always be fussy at that time, so I have been released from that duty and hoping this new one will work better!
So, here's to my own good luck!

PS- our weather was beautiful today, we got to go on a nice family walk, even taking our jackets off!! Please stay warm- Think Spring!!!

R.I.P.

This is a hard post for me, as it's almost been a week since our beloved family dog, Mudslide was hit by a car and died. She was my sidekick for the past 4 years. Always right by my side.
The tykes loved her, Baby G was just getting to know her and well, Brandon, he just put up with her (it was vice versa for Mudslide too!)
It was a hard day for us all, thank goodness Brandon was able to come home from work for a while to help calm us down and shed some light on the situation.
Mudslide- we can't wait to see you again! Thanks for all the fun memories- going to the grandparents house to play with Molly, going on hikes, letting us put in the swimming pool, going on walks, taking naps with me, playing with the tykes with your toys, barking, and always excited to see me when I came home!
We love and miss you Mudslide! Thanks for sharing your life with us!

The Babe is 7 Months!

We sooo love this guy! He weighs in at 15lbs. Has an infectious smile and laugh, awesome blue eyes (that I get stopped for in the grocery store!), has survived a bout with croup, bronchilitis, and ear infections all at once!
He still loves those hands and is amazed with them daily! He is rolling a lot more, always wants to be held, doesn't like the vacuum too much- snuggles mommy while she vacuums with one hand! Lights up when he sees mom in the mornings, the tykes, and daddy! Is a good little eater, has liked most every thing he has been fed- a huge fan of green beans and apple sauce!
Baby G- keep growing healthy and strong! Hopefully no more of that yucky sick stuff!
PS- must be the view I am at taking the picture- kneeling down, but maybe lower than the baby cause his legs look real long, they really aren't that long, he's just a little squirt!

What To Do When The Fam Is Sick?

When Brandon, the baby, and I were not feeling well the other day, we needed to find something for the tykes to do besides watching TV all day long. Dad had the great idea of sock puppets. It was also a lesson in making things to play with instead of always having to buy things. So here they are- Scary Puppet and Poppy Puppet!
Yes, they tykes thought it funny when dad asked them to make them kiss!!!
Here are your puppeteers! They did a great little show and game for us!
Thanks dad for the fun idea! Miss P even took hers to school to show her class.

Long Time No Blog!

Ok, I am really ALIVE, I think... Between Baby G being sick with croup, bronchitis, an ear infection, and I think he may be teething on top of all that. Brandon and I getting sick, losing the camera and finding it finally in Brandon's sock drawer of all places! It's nice to know the tykes can still find things to entertain themselves while everyone else is sick-
This is what we found on the missing camera-
A SPA Day for Miss P, courtesy of Big H!
Looking good! What a sweet brother!
Doesn't she look relaxed and refreshed?!?! BTW- Big H gives great foot rubs, I have had quite a few myself!
This face says it all-
