Christmas Day 2010

Christmas Morning!!! Such fun memories!
H scored a super fast remote control!!! We had a great time watching from the window as he bashed around the street.
Not sure if I have heard H scream as loud as he did when he opened this...
Miss P scored herself a much wanted Pillow Pet, it's a Hippo!! They are so soft too!
Also an American Girl doll! I think I may be just as excited!!!
Lil'G scored a Buzzy tent! He wasn't sure what was going on this morning. We had to wake him from his sweet slumber since his siblings would wait no longer. After lil'G opened one present of a car track, that was mostly it, he did not want to open more, that was until we taught him to rip the paper off!
Also a very fun Playmobil set!
This would be my sweet owl, I think I will name him Herman. You may want to click the picture bigger to see the detail on this owl. I have a thing for owls and my talented awesome husband MADE this for ME!!! It totally screams Brandon too!! I so adore it, lil'G actually grabbed it from my hands after I opened it and took it with him to his tent. Right now Herman is sitting in my kitchen window, but not sure if that is where he will stay! I soo heart him and the person who gave it to me!
We truly had a great Christmas!!! So glad we got to share the whole day in our jammies as a family! Loves to you all!

The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Our friends, The Lyon's hosted this fun evening! So sorry I didn't ever get a photo of the host, I'm bad! This would be our friend Stacy who won an award with the ugly Christmas sweater and scored the awesome candy cane headband!
Here is Cam, he won for looks most like it was pulled from your grandma's closet sweater.
And this one, we will not name names, won for the best/ugliest shirt. We had no idea until like 3 layers of clothing were peeled off to show the award winning shirt! IT was a good time for sure!
We also had a great game of the White Elephant gifts, and we took home the most wanted item! Spider Man undies!! They were a hit with the big and the small!
I know too cute for words!!
Thanks Lyon's family and all the others their to make a memorable night!! Hope we get to do it again next year!!!

Lil' Drummer Boy!

This guy sooo loves to drum!! This is currently what my kitchen looks like day in and day out. The metal bowls make it really loud too!
And if you put "his" drums away, he gets mad and gets them ALL back out!
He is my little drummer boy and I will keep him!

PS when his dad is home to play with him, lil'G runs to get a stool for his dad to sit on so he will stay longer and drum with him!

Dog Sitting- India!

Meet India!! We had the pleasure of dog sitting India for the past 10 days while her family went to Disney World. Guess dogs aren't' allowed there, how rude!
Since our family has been a little dog hungry lately, this was a fun way to have a dog in the home for a while. India did not disappoint. They tykes played with her day in and out! (love how you could wrap her in her blanket each night and she liked it!)
India took a huge liking to H and wanted to sleep in his room each night. I would drag her pillow and blanket to his room each night while India followed me with her tail wagging!
Thanks Williams Family our our doggy fix and hope you got your Disney fix too!

You Better Not Pout!

Santa Claus came to town!!! It was a MUST visit! This one forgot what he wanted.
This is the MUST one, who after writing a huge list to Santa had forgotten just one more thing! (I love that our town puts out a Santa Mailbox every year so your letters can get directly to him faster and his Elves even write back!)
And this one wasn't even really afraid and asked for a car!
What a delight it was to have Mrs. Claus there too!

New Tub for Me!

So I thought I would let Lil'G play with some water in the sink. I walked into the other room for a few minutes when my husband asked where the camera was, since he was in the dining room and could see the baby. I walk in to get the camera and this is what I found!
Hey, this is fun!!! Mommy lets me play with some water and I totally help myself to it all!
Lil'G thanks for always keeping us smile and on our toes!!!

Sunday Thoughts

Here is a quote I would like to share that I got from a lesson I taught at church to the teenagers. It reads- "I believe that the best place to prepare for... eternal life is in the home."-President David O. McKay
What a true saying and really has me thinking more of what goes on in my own home and how I can make it better. A few months back we made the rule that on Sunday we don't watch TV. (we can watch it in the evening, like a family movie) So we all have been finding more things to do and a lot of the time we end up doing things as a family- playing guitar, building something, reading, coloring, play dough. I really think it helps our Sundays go more smoothly and also helps to set that day apart from the rest. I hope my tykes always feel loved in the home and know we are there for them.

This quote we got today in Relief Society, "The sure way to PEACE and HAPPINESS in this life and life hereafter is to serve the Lord today and every day. -President Marion G. Romney
Our lesson was on finding PEACE. The teacher asked us to give her examples of PEACE- responses were- serene, bed time, early morning, and quietness.
Our December activity for the Relief Society women is also on PEACE. We are hoping to create a peaceful evening for the women. We are going to have dinner, Christmas songs, and story from the scriptures, a relaxation room, a massage room, and a chatting room. I am really looking forward to this night out in a few weeks and what a great lesson we had today to get ready for it too!

*your thoughts on either of these quotes?*

Decking the Halls with Christmas Advent

My Amazing sister sent this totally cute advent for the tykes for Christmas! I am beyond ahh!
I have seen people post about their advents like this or others, but now I have my own to brag about!
Isn't it just adorable! The tykes are so excited to get ready for school each morning so that they have time to open a new box each day! Can't thank you enough Jamie! You truly are talented in all that you do!!!
O Christmas Tree! The tykes are always over excited to help decorate! Nice having helpers on hand.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care! (sorry this isn't the best photo.)

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is getting into the Spirit of the holiday!
Can't believe I am saying this, but I think it will really hit me when we get some snow!

Lil'G Random Sillyness!

One day Lil'G climbs up on the dining room table and proceeds to sit in the napkin basket, cause hey why not, "I fit!"
He loves to put on Sissy's boots and cruise the house. Here he is with his new monster that came with a fab color/number learning book.
One of Lil'G's fave past times would be to relax with a blanket on the couch with a little something to drink. We are happy to oblige!

Lego Armory in the House!

H hearts Legos, so we get to see lots of displays around the house. This one I found very interesting. It came with a sign with all the details.
Great shot of the soldiers.
Everything is lined up nicely with a lot of thought.
I love to see the creation H comes up with and all the imagination he has doing so! I love the thought he put into his creations and he loves to show -n- tell to us the things he has made!

Legos had got to be some of the BEST toys around!
