Sunday Post... for me?

I was relaxing today and reading in my bed when H comes in and asks if I would like a foot rub. (H is really big on giving foot rubs and hasn't done any for a while.) So of course I was like sure! Then he proceeds to tell me his secrets of how he rubs feet so well and not to share it with anyone, which I have not and will not do. He then asked if there was anything else that I would like rubbed. I tell him my arms, which he gets out body lotion to do this part, foot lotion, is just for the feet ya' know! Then I ask him to massage my back which he does with my massage dolphin and also uses my octopus head massage- by the way, is superb!!!! I got it as a gift from my hubby after I had given birth to Miss P. That thing so rocks to massage your head with and even feels good when you do it yourself no less!!! Thanks H for making me feel like a QUEEN today! What a great son I have. I love these times we have together, just the 2 of us to chat and he being so into giving a great foot massage too! I love you!
Had to throw this fun picture of Miss P in here too. I had gotten that fruit by the roll stuff, which the tykes love. When ever P eats it she unwraps it all and tells me look how long my tongue is mommmy! Gotta love their imagination.
Thanks for a fun and relaxing Sunday tykes!

Martian Child

Ok, so you think we got to movies a lot, really we don't always, we just have the On Demand channel with our cable and it cost like only $3.99 to rent a movie for 24 hours, so when nothing is on tv, we like to watch movies, kindof like a date night at home.
So again, I am here to recommend yet another great film. I heart John and Joan Cusack! John was amazing in this show, plus kind of fun to see him more grown-up, which he really is. It's about how he is a widower. He and his then wife were always going to adopt, but she passes away. He decides to go ahead and fulfill their dream and gets a boy with some problems, mostly problems of being left and not having a family. It's very touching. Just an all around great movie!

Collection

H is quite the collector of things. I heard his dad was the same way when he was little too. When you go for a walk H is always picking things up and putting them in his pockets, as treasure and things to collect. I got a great idea from the Family Fun magazine of painting a flower pot for your child to fill with their treasures! H's sits on our porch (in case you ever visit, since some things I would rather not have in the house, but H can still keep them.) Anyways, H has been collecting bottle caps for some time now. Today we went to the Farmington River to wade our toes, throw rocks in the river, and explore a little. H gets to the river and after a few minutes finds a green glass bottle in the river, then excitedly and seriously says, "Where there's a bottle, there is a bottle cap!" My hubby and I just started to crack up. It was such a cute moment to hear him say that! Brandon goes, you better blog about that! Something for us to remember and of course I forgot my camera too!
H thanks for the fun memory and for all your collecting you have going on- Hot Wheels and Legos too!

August Rush

My hubby and I watched this the other night. It was a really good movie. The young boy in it is the same boy in The Spiderwick movie too, he's a great young actor, I think. Also starred Keri Russell who does a good job and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, he is quite cute, I might add! Very touching story. I didn't know that Robin Williams was even in it!!
So yet another movie I recommend, if you haven't seen it!

Earth Day!

My kids were looking forward to this day, I think they must of been talking about it in school. Wish I could of commemorated the day a little more with them. But I will say- I am a recycler!! I love it! I grew up having a mom who recycled, that is where I get it from. So glad my town recycles too! My bin is full weekly and even the tykes know that we recycle and they love to help!
A few things Miss P did in her class to celebrate earth day. She got a little certificate for helping pick up trash! Go girl! She was pretty proud of it too!
A new purchase of some reusable shopping bags! I love 'em! I have 3, but H insisted that he needed one for himself.
The day was gorgeous and I hope you all had a great Earth Day too!

Sunday Post

Today at church one of the speakers wrote his talk in letter form to a guy in our ward who is over in Iraq with the army. It was such a neat way to listen to his talk. I really enjoyed it and love to see things done a little differently. Our speakers were talking about their favorite talks from our General Conference held a few weeks ago.
I also got to teach H's CTR 7-8 class. I only had 3 kids in there today and they were great! I love to hear what they have to say and what kind of answers they give you when you ask questions. I had a little time left over and my favorite thing is to ask them if there is something they would like to share about what happened over the past week. I like to try and be a little involved in their lives and know what they are up too! I try to do this a lot when I am with all the Primary aged kids, so we can all hear what each other has been up too.
Then we ended our Sunday with a family walk around town, dog and all. I need to get walking more. It about did me in. Back pains and all! The dog and I came home and both had to relax in the living room for a bit.

Highland Lake

Such a beautiful day out today like probably close to the 80's if not in the 80's. Anyways, daddy came home from work and told us he wasn't going on any bike rides and let's head to the local lake/beach in town. The tykes were so excited, they even wanted to wear their swim suits. I met them their with a Subway picnic dinner. It was a perfect evening.
The tykes searching for treasures. I love to watch how each of them walk. H just like a boy and P just like a girl- I could not get over it!
Brandon wanted to take a photo of our toesies, the tykes made a cute appearance in the background too!
Thanks Brandon for an awesome idea and evening! Now let's just keep this weather up too!
H was so excited with the nice weather that he had be pull out the summer clothes. So we spent some time today going through the dressers, pulling out clothes that no longer fit and boxing up the winter stuff, so we better not see any more snowflakes this season!!!

New Couches

Finally! I have waited for over a year to get leather couches. With a new little one on the way and 2 tykes already, I was more than ready to get some easy to clean couches. We even found our old ones, which weren't in too bad a shape a new home too!
We have had them for just over a week and love them! I waited to post pictures cause I wanted to get new throw pillows and even scored a cute paisley throw quilt too! Gotta heart Marshall's!

Jump Zone!!!

Today I took the tykes to the Jump Zone! We have been wanting to go for some time, but they are usually only open during school hours, but since it's Spring Break and we need some fun, this wa the place to be!! I love how cute H is when posing with P for pics, he is the one to put his are around her without me even asking, now that is love!
Here is H flying down the huge slide. So hard to get pics when they are zooming along without getting a blurry one!
P doing the same- catching some good speed!
Another cute pose for ya!
We all had a great time and we were the 1st ones there, it did get busy though. It was great to see the smiles on their faces and the fun time they had. I am sure we will be back- can't beat a bunch of inflatables and jump house along with huge slides!!! Thanks tykes for a fun day out! I think I am looking forward to summer break!

Brodie Park!

Since the tykes have Spring Break this week, we have been trying to get out and have some fun! Even better we have been having some nice epring like weather too! We met up with some friends for a great time at the park! HEre is H and his friend Hunter. They go to school together.
Here is P showing me that she can hang on the bar- too cute!
This week so far we have gone shopping, got the oil changed and emissions done on the car, went out to lunch and breakfast (hey we were out of milk!), and to the library! Looking forward to the rest of the week with even warmer weather!!!

Conversations...

Here is a conversation I had yesterday while driving in the car with H. "Mom do you see that blue car (happens to be a new blue Mustang) yes I do. Well It has my name written all over it, with a huge smile on his face!
I was like where did you learn that? He said dad had said it before.
Then later he tells me if the baby is a girl we should name her Tomato and if it's a boy we should name it Potato!
Gotta love kids!

Sunday Post

Made it to all of church today- whoawho!!! We had a great sharing time in Primary done by my 1st counselor. Talking about all the past prophets and what their main message was to us. What Heavenly Father wanted us to really work on during their time as prophets. As we were going through each prophet, my counselor would ask what their name was, well P was sitting by me so I whispered in her ear that it was the prophet Harold B. Lee. So she raised her hand and said Harold Bayley! It was so cute, everyone was cracking up since that is our last name. I thin she was confused cause she didn't hear me say the name too well and thought that is what I said. It was a cute moment!
I sure love those Primary kids and the smiles they bring to my face each week!
Thanks for a great sharing time Karen!
Here's to a new week- it's spring break here!!!

Hopefully it comes out before the baby gets here so I can read to my hearts content!!

A Family Fetish

So the tykes and I have a little fetish. We heart Littlest Pets! This is a pic of most of P's collection, minus the ones she was playing with. (she wouldn't let us take their picture.)
Anywho, this is P posing with a Littlest Pet Lamb.
Here is H with a "wiener dog".
I forgot to get H's little collection in the picture! I will admit, I don't own any of these for myself, but I do enjoy going through the piles of them at the store looking for new ones for P's collection!

*Do you have a family fetish too?

So, What GIRL COLOR are you?

You Are An Orange Girl

You live in the fast lane. You love action, risk, and competition.

You're spontaneous, enthusiastic, and persuasive.

But you're also easily bored - and love to rebel against structures.

You resent rules ... as well as people's attempts to control you!

My Little Man!

Poor H has been home sick for the past week, he has what I had! Not too fun, espcially with all the coughing going on around here. P has the cough a little too, and low and behold, I am still coughing! Well, I think H may be feeling a hair chipper today and this is what he made- a unitard out of a sack, just like dad wears when he bikes, except dad's is spandex and goes to his knees (bike short length).
This kid cracks me up! He happily posed for his picture too!

Nim's Island

So on this cold, dark, and wet Friday, the tykes and I ended up going to the movie. The tykes were out of school today for teacher development day, so we had to do something despite the weather and how we were feeling. H kept going back and forth about going since he still isn't feeling 100%. Finally a decision was made and we went to see Nim's Island, which I highly recommend. I really enjoyed is as did the tykes. Don't know what our fellow moviegoers thought of us hacking family all during the show, but we were coughing into our sleeves, I promise! Jodie Foster and Abigail Broslin were fantastic. Can't wait to buy it on dvd! The animals were amazing as well.

*So if you go to see the movie, let me know what you think.*

Secret Sister

The ladies at church have started this year doing a "Secret Sister" for each month. Well, I was chosen as the secret sister for the month of March. It is a way for everyone to get to know each other better. Why they call it secret sister, I am not sure why as the first Sunday in the month of March I had to come in during church when the women meet and tell a little about myself. Anyways, it was a great month filled with homemade dinner one night, weekly phone calls to see how I was or if we needed anything, nice letters in the mail, flowers, and even some prizes mailed to me- I even got the "sisters" Willow Tree figures! At the end of the month they present you with a bouquet of flowers and a crown with a wand, so that you can wear the crown at night to remind your husband that you are a queen! Then they take you to dinner. We went to Panera Bread. Love this place- bread bowls with broccoli cheese soup is high on my list there. So here are a few of us having dinner. I was even given a completed certificate for being the Secret Sister for the month of March!
In photo is ClaireAnn, me, Sue, & Nancy. Thank you for the great evening- great food and conversation! I think this is a great idea that they have done. Can't wait to get in on some of the other secret sisters for the months ahead!!!

Mismatch Day!

So the school had Mismatch Day for April Fool's day. Miss P was all over this! She eve wore mismatched socks and shoes! What a fun way to spend the day!
H missed it due to being sick, bummer!
