The Sound of Silence

AHHHHH! The sound of silence at the end of Sunday is sooo worth looking forward too. The kids in bed after a long Sunday, church went well, even Primary. We have to go to church at 2:15 in the afternoon, strange time!!! Till our new church buildings gas leak problem is fixed, but the kids are pretty quiet in the afternoon, so that part is nice. Of course, I still hadn't given the church kids their easter prizes from the Primary presidency, so when they saw the grab bags it was all over for the quietness, they were all jumpin, but I was glad they were excited. We had a yummy dinner of egg-salad sandwiches and mac-n-cheese.
Ok, so now I am totally singing the sound of silence, and let me guess?? SO ARE THE REST OF YOU!!!!!! Happy Sunday evening to all and to all a Good Night!

Long walks

This is the bouqet of dandelions Princess Piper collected for me on our lovely walk today. I think I may have found myself a walking partner. She's great cause she likes to run alot, and you either have to jog or walk fast to keep up with her. The weather is perfect today- not overly hot and the sun is shining! Need I say more.
Here is Princess Piper after our walk. She needed water and a treat, then of course a movie to watch, one of her current favorites- Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
Here is a photo of Mudslide a few weeks a go when we were dog sitting at g&g's house. She couldn't jump up on the bed, it was too high, so she resorted to the suitcase, too cute! She slept there for quite some time.

Go PTO!

Well, this week is all about meetings- 2 PTO meetings so far and a church meeting this evening. Busy stuff. Anyways, you are looking at the new fall fundraiser chairperson for Hobie's and, will be Piper's too by then, elementary school. I am excited for the challenge. I have really enjoyed being in the PTO and getting to know all about the school, as well as meeting new people in the area. I just keep saying yes at volunteering at everything, I figure if I am not doing something at the time, I might as well help, right???? Now I just need some of Brandon's expertise on taking photos, cause I just colunteered to take the photos of the kids who didn't get theirs taken yet for the yearbook! Go Me, I think.....

Here Comes the Sun

Here comes the sun- do-do-do-do-doo, Here comes the sun and I say it's alright! Wow, it has been like in the 70's the past few days and we have been loving it. We got to go on a family hike on the Appalation Trail yesterday and even the family dog- Mudslide got to go too, she was loving it!!!! So fun to watch the kids in their own little worlds hiking. Miss Piper is the go getter and just marches along on her merry way, pointing this and that out. Then the Hobster, well he likes to stop and well, smell the flowers, so to speak. He likes to find anything to pocket, walking sticks, of various sizes and also to use in the mud, which there was plenty of from all the rain we have had. So we usually get ahead of him and have to stop and wait for him to catch up. I am so glad we had this time together has a family. We really enjoy hiking and seeing the great outdoors. Ok, we also finally saw the movie Open Season. Such a cute and funny show, definately one I want to own, my kids have watched it 3 times since last night.

Aahhh!?...Mondays

The start of a new week. The boys (hubby-Brandon and son- Hobie) got back last night from Moab, Utah for the Jeep Safari week. So the fam had the day together to get life back in order. We saw the movie Meet the Robinson's in 3D no less, highly recommend it!!! Then took a walk on the bike trail. Can't wait for the weather to kick in high gear- warmth!!!!
Also, good news is that my bro and his wife just had their 1st baby this morning- a litttle boy! 7lbs 4oz 19in. He has alot of dark hair and I didn't catch his name just yet. I am way excited for them. New babies always bring about a sense of love, happiness, and goes well with spring time too!
