Sunday Post

H and P had a great experience on Saturday of getting to go see the Boston Temple with all the kids in our Stake that were 7-12 years old. They got chartered buses for the trip. They dressed in their best, brought their lunches and were on their way for the day! I was so glad that the weather was nice too! They got to go into the foyer of the temple and write down a name for the prayer rolls, then walked to the church nearby and do activities, eat lunch, and meet with the temple president. Afterwords, they walked back to the temple to walk the grounds and get their picture taken!
It was so great to see them afterwards and talk about all they learned and saw.
I am so grateful to the neat Primary workers who made this special day possible. It is one my kids will not forget!
Besides, look at how beautiful all our temples are!
As always, if you would like to know more about our temples and religion, go HERE.

Earth Day 2010

We had a great Earth Day- with beautiful weather! Headed to the park to have lunch with dad. Love how Baby G holds on to the swing!! He will not put them lower, we have tried.
He wore his "Hug Me" shirt which a lot of people wanted to hug him today, well I will admit, he is a QT!
The tykes school put on a Earth Day celebration play at the high school. They tykes got to go to it during the school day and they did another performance of it at night, so the parents could go. H and Miss P were part of the "recycle your shirt" fashion show and got to strike a pose onstage. It was a neat event to see! I hope these fun things with the schools will continue.
Happy Earth Day!

Miss P's day at Connecticut Children's Medical Center

A few short weeks ago, Miss P said her jaw really hurt. Then the next night she didn't sleep well, off to the dentist we went. Where we were told she had a cyst or something. Then directed to see a oral surgeon. Which brings us to today, where Miss P had surgery to remove the said cyst, which was grapes size and sent off for biopsy. This girl was excited to be at the hospital and had been counting down the days!
Just hanging out in the pre-op area waiting our turn. Yes, we did a little picture posing!
I even got to go in the O.R. in my "banana suit!" Flattering, I know, so please keep all comments to yourselves! Miss P even got to pick a motorized car to drive to her O.R. room. She picked the pink Escalade with nice rims. I was busy giggling all the way there behind her as she tried to navigate away from walls and machines.
After surgery and a little Popsicle to feel better. She was a trooper!
The first nurse we saw that day, since we saw a few, had written on the front of Miss P's chart in BIG letters- SHE IS ADORABLE!< So you can imagine the compliments she was getting all during her visit!
We want to thank Dr Weyman and all those at CCMC for making our visit a great one! Thanks for all the love, caring, and concern shown to us that day.
Miss P is recuperating quite well! She has a chipmunk cheek and talks about her special surgery to anyone who will listen.

Go Wolf Pack Go!

I got the chance to take the older tykes to their first hockey game and we all loved it!!! Thanks to H's scout group for scoring us tickets and we all got to sit with the scout pack. Loads of kids screaming throughout the game.
The tykes soo wanted the foam finger, but guess what we got instead that was even better, FOAM CLAWS!! We love 'em!!
Yes, I had to make the tykes pose for a picture to capture the fun and excitement of the evening!
I always love the music they play and the energy at hockey games! It has been quite a few years since I have been to one. I forgot how excited the crowd gets when a fight breaks out on the ice, and yet, I did catch myself jumping up and hollering along with the rest of the fans during a few fights!
I think we may find ourselves at a few more hockey games in the years to come! What a great evening!

Easter 2010

The Easter Bunny was busy at our house this year! Love the arrangement that was left.
Baby G checking out his basket loot and liking it too!
Finding that there are things hidden in the eggs too!
We had a fun-filled Easter with the cousins in town. Of course, I couldn't get a shot of them, since they were all sugared-up and running a muck!
Also had a yummy ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, and rolls for lunch before the cousins headed for their trek back home.

Campbell Falls with Family

It was a beautiful and warm day! The falls were just going to town. We got to spend this great weekend with-
some of our cousins- The Skalka Family!! Boy, did we have a great time too! We are so glad you guys came to visit over Easter weekend! My tykes are still talking about it.
Just love how this close-up picture of the water turned out.
This one was also a fave- Brandon and Baby G or Mini-Me. Baby G so loves his Papa! He misses him so when he leaves for work and is so overjoyed when he comes back home. He likes to ask about Papa through out the day too. Can't get enough of these 2!
After splashing in the water, we took the cousins to the HUGE tunnel slide on our way back home. It was all fun and games till Aunt Paula decided to go down head first on her back, she flew out and landed on her bootie!
